Autumn Tennis in Seattle

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is projecting the upcoming winter as a La Nina weather pattern. La Nina typically supports above normal snowfall for the Cascades and is the best long term seasonal forecast indicator for skiers.

However, for tennis players, this is not a good sign at all and well, let's face it: October through March is rarely a great time for tennis in the Pacific Northwest - Period.

However, for those tennis players in the North Seattle area, there is a small ray of light shining at the Racquet Training Center at Sand Point where programs and lessons will be taking off once again this October. Just as the grey and cloudy skies of Western Washington come rolling in, the RTC will be able to provide quality tennis programming four days a week for those wanting to keep their timing up and their strokes polished.

With both adult and junior programs available, the RTC can provide a bit of relief to the pent-up demand tennis players put on the greater Seattle area indoor facilities to stretch their legs and swing those rackets. Be on the lookout for new programs and services at the RTC this fall, winter and spring and stay out of La Nina's way.
